Eric Sundberg joined SCORE® in 2009 and brings with him experience in starting and running his own successful businesses, Southern Electronics Inc., and Names for Sales, LLC. In addition, he has years of experience as an employee of several large companies such as GE and Union Camp.
Eric is interested in using his experience gained as a business owner to help other owners start and grow their own businesses, with emphasis on website and domain development in order to gain market share.
In 1996, Eric started a company called Names for Sale LLC, which purchases, sells and develops web names and domains. He is an expert in SEO and website usability. He currently owns over 3,000 names, and has just hired a new employee to help build out his websites.Some of his current projects are www.RichmondLinks.com, www.FairDates.com and www.StatePoliceDirectory.com, which generate revenue with advertising.
Southern Electronics Inc., an automotive electronics company founded in 1979 is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, had revenues of over $1M in 2009.Southern Electronics repairs factory original equipment radios and instrument clusters. His client base consists of new and used car dealers, independent garages, and any customer who happens by with a car electronics problem. A good part of this business is international, with some major clients in Australia and Canada. Eric's other talents and contributions include owning two patents in electronics, developing a radio system test device still used by Ford, writing the “Radio System Troubleshooting Manual" for Ford Motor Company, designing an improved version of a tool used by dealers nationwide to remove Ford radios from dashes without scratching them – a tool still manufactured by Eric’s company. He also holds a certificate from the FAA as a Private Pilot.
